What do we consider a "hiking boot"?
Hiking boots are lightweight (usually between 2 and 3 lbs) and made for day hiking with a light pack (less than 20 lbs).

Most hiking boots are mid top (about 4 to 5 inches tall) so they provide some ankle support. Many of the boots we included are capable of doing more.
